Ulster Wildlife’s Magnificent Meadows Project

March 8, 2017

As part of our ongoing work with ‘Ulster Wildlife’ today saw our AS Biology class working with Eva Fernandez from Ulster Wildlife’s Magnificent Meadows Project to sow the bank below our Astroturf as a wildflower meadow.  The students learned about the importance of encouraging biodiversity, how to survey habitats and how to sow and manage a wildflower meadow. Hopefully they will see the benefits of their efforts this time next year.
